  1. Two comments in one week. It may seem like I’m spamming the site, but I’m really just excited to be catching up on episodes AND at a time when you’re getting very close to reviewing the first issue of X-Men that I bought off the newsstand. I predict Jeremy will call it a “filler issue” and Adam will tentatively disagree.

One semi-quick note on your confusion/skepticism regarding the choice to put Dazzler in a swimsuit as #246 opens. It’s been previously established that there’s an underground lake below the Outback compound. In fact it’s near the control room’s location, as established in the annual that you just reviewed last episode. It’s not entirely unreasonable to believe that Dazzler was returning from a swim when the issue starts. Granted, there’s not really a need for Dazzler to have a tube of tanning lotion since there’s an absence of UV radiation down there, but I think it’s in character for her (the reluctant X-Man) to try to create the illusion that she’s living a normal, glamorous life back on the beaches of southern Cal by doing the things she’d otherwise be doing (i.e. packing sunscreen for her trip to the beach). Plus, judging from the Doc Savage-like tan she sports in future issues, I think she’s using that lotion topside in the Australian desert. Actually, forget Doc Savage – her tan is closer to Anakin Skywalker’s in the final act of Revenge of the Sith. Good grief.

Looking forward to 2020 episodes and episode #300 (still taking suggestions for the momentous event?).
