  1. Howdy dudes, good coverage but seemingly little fanfare for the departure of Louise Simonson. While Chris Claremont deserves any and all positive comments for his amazing stent on the mutant universe, Louise get often overlooked for her contributions. From 1986 to 1991 she had as much to do with shaping the mutant universe as Chris did and unfortunately her time with Marvel kind of went out with a whimper. X-Factor 64, New Mutants 97 would be her last mutant issues (for nearly 10 years) along with the two She-Hulk issues (one of which you covered in this episode) along with a very underrated re-teaming up with June Brigman Power Pack special one shot. She would move on to DC and probably would be best know to non-DC readers for her part in “Death of Super Man” and her creation of the character “Steel”.

That Excalibur issue certainly suffered from the art, I think over all Lobdells story could have worked but as Adam pointed out later, sometimes even the best writing can not over come bad art. Also I think Jeremy is confusing the Alice and Wonderland inspired villains, the Crazy Gang, with the interstellar mercenaries the Technet. Although it does not really matter as despite what the comic tells you, you will not see the Technet for another 6 issues.

Do you guys plan on covering the next story line of the New Warriors because of the X-Men appearances (kind of, no spoilers)? I would also suggest covering the MCP storyline all at once so it is a little easier to follow (8 pages a month is hard to keep track of). I have to bounce now dudes so keep up the good work.
