I listened to #155 today and it was great. I have to say I’m happy The Brood Saga is over, to me the X-Men just seem better on Earth. But this was one of the funniest episodes in a while! The Huntmaster/ Blastmaster/ Chefmaster jokes had me cracking up so much I was disturbing my roommate while she was trying to study for finals.
I looked up the word “anathema” (a-NATH-eh-ma) and it means something that is hated. Really Storm could have said “I hate killing.” but I guess Chris Claremont wanted to show off his vocabulary. I don’t know where Ororo would have learned such a fancy word growing up as a homeless pickpocket in Egypt, though, especially since they don’t speak English there.
Another thing that cracked me up was Jeremy saying Ironman and Power Fist 3 or 4 times in a row in the Dazzler section at the end. I don’t know if this was intentional, but it was hilarious.
As usual, thanks for the entertainment and education, it is much appreciated!
